This is something a little different than my normal posts. I wanted to take about my son and how he had a stroke when he was born. Well it all started when I went into labor early at 6 months. They had stopped it by giving me a medication. I was dilated to 3 centimeters for 3 more months. I was in and out of the hospital the whole time. I don't know why but I knew something was wrong I just had a very strong feeling something bad was happening. So I ended up going into labor a week before my due date. So just a side bar I think they gave me the wrong due date and my son was supposed to be delivered before they thought because they said he was big enough but they still did not want to deliver him. So I had him normally the labor and delivery was a dream no problems. About 4 hours after he was born I was in the room with him my husband my mother in law and father in law and my mother in law was holding my new bundle of joy he just stopped breathing and started to turn a little blue. I called for the nurse to come in and she pinched his foot and he took a breath. Wow what was that about she didn't say and I don't think she called the doctor or anything she just blew if off as a normal thing. So it was the first day I had him and they told my husband he had to leave per the hospital rule I was sad but thought its a normal thing. I was breast feeding so the nurse came in at about 3am for his feeding. He hadn't really been eating since he was born we just couldn't get the latching thing down. So I laid with him and tried to feed him it was not working. The nurse left him in the bassinet in the room. I was so tired so I was trying to sleep but i opened my eyes and in the bassinet I looked over and he was not breathing he was purely blue. I started to scream for a nurse or some one anyone to help me. The nurse ran in and swept up my little bundle and rushed him off not saying one word. So I followed her down the hall she went into the intensive care unit. That was when my world fell apart. I had only known him for one day not even a full 24 hours and my whole life came crashing down around me. No one came and said anything to me first thing I did was called my husband and he was there as fast as possible. It was all kind of a blur at that moment. The doctor came to us and said our son was having seizures and that's what stopped his breathing both times. He said he did not know at that time what was causing the seizures but they were going to give him a cat scan and a MRI. Oh my gosh was what I was thinking I was so careful during my pregnancy I did not even drink soda I thought it was not good for the baby and now he is sick. So they came back after the tests were done and said he had a stroke and that he has swelling in his brain and there is fluid in his brain also.Its hard for me to even write this and not want to cry from all the emotion of that time of his little life.I had never even heard of a baby having a stroke so I thought how is this even possible. Here I was thinking he might die they told me he might not live. He was in the hospital for two weeks after he was born. I had to leave the hospital with no baby. That is a hard thing for a parent. My husband he would not leave with out my son he would sleep in the chair or on there foldout bed he made me go home because he thought I needed the comfort of home. So when he was finally ready to go home it was Easter day what a miracle. More to come about the outcome.

Its so strange I can't find anything about this lonely cup and saucer its like the company never well let me take that back on replacements it says it was made by a company Erphila Rose Queen Series but after I found that it was like thin air.

Well I found a little more information it was made by Eberling & Russ Co in Pa. or I guess it was distributed by them. Intresting

Ruby the cutest cat

My baby Ruby we saved her from the pound when she was just a little fur ball. She is now a big fur ball but we love her. When we had the Christmas she really loved it she would sleep under it all day and she would jump into the tree and pull down the ornament's she wanted. She is a Maine Coon she is only a year and a half old and she is already 12 pounds they said she might even get bigger because of her breed.

Carnival Glass

I am very drawn to depression glass it has a glow to it or a shine that I love . I have depression and Carnival glass all over my house I love it. I have been doing a little research about this and I've come to learn this is a Marigold crimped edge fruit bowl. I thought at first it was a Jannette but that pattern has rays in it and this one has just a flower in the bottom so the search continues.

I love antiques they really are addicting. I started when i was about 20 and I was in my grandmas garage and I found what at the time seemed like a bunch of old dishes. Mainly tea cups and saucers. So her and my mother and I all split most of the tea cups. It was so nice like looking into the past it was from generations of my family. I felt like I had something to look at and also see into the past. So I am making my own future with collecting. Its funny when my mom comes over she looks into my china cabinet and says how much she loves what I have. I have greatly bypassed her collection. My husband and children know its my weakness. I also have just started collecting carnival glass and depression glass.I love it!!!
